Confirmation Class is for youth ages 11 and up.
When we are baptized as small children, our parents take vows on our behalf and promise before God and the church to raise us in the Christian faith.
Through confirmation classes we learn about the faith we were raised in and are given the opportunity to embrace or "confirm" the vows that our parents took for us.
For those youth who choose, at the end of confirmation classes, they make a public profession of faith of their own and in doing so become full members of the church.
